Madeline Merritt

Madeline is an Organizer for Revolution LA and Divest LA. His goal is to make protest marches upbeat, musical and positive. Madeline has been an advocate for the environment since she was a young child.

She advocated for the Endangered Species Act in California at the age of 9, and going on to protest the war in Iraq as the president of the Students for Social Justice in high school, and working to feed the community as the president of The Campus Kitchens Project at Northwestern University. An outspoken advocate for equal rights for women in Hollywood, she was re-inspired by her missions at Standing Rock to engage her community in Los Angeles to make real and lasting change on behalf of under-served communities and our environment, so we can leave the world a better place than we found it for the coming generations. She knows that poverty and environmental justice intersect, and that we can build a brighter future by investing in our communities rather than the fossil fuel industry, corrupt big banks, and the private prison industry.
